Giving back to the communities in which we work is an important component of BDL Media's work. Each year BDL Media donates at least US$50,000 in cash and in-kind donations to worthy causes in China.

In 2004, BDL Media worked with Special Olympics to provide cash donations to the Chaoyang Special Needs School in Beijing. The adoption of the school not only entailed monetary support from BDL Media, but also periodic Bowling Nights where BDL Media staff and their families entertained the Chaoyang School's students during evening bowling alley events.

In 2005 BDL Media started CharityInChina.org, an offshoot of the company's ChinaCSR.com online and print publication covering corporate social responsibility issues in China. CharityInChina.org provides free marketing and technology support to fundraising drives for all sorts of non-profit groups operating in and around China.
