Sustainability Conference Brings Together Leading Experts In China

BDL Media CEO Danny Levinson was chairman of the two-day "CSR Best Practices" conference that ended today in Beijing. Organized by Marcus Evans, the conference highlighted corporate social responsibility initiatives from companies operating in Asia and how CSR affects their marketing and public relations efforts.
Kim Dong Soo, former CEO of Hankook Shell Oil Company was the event's keynote speaker. Kim revealed work he had been doing on engaging societal expectations for general business principles and how work on ISO 26000 (International Standard for Social Responsibility) was progressing. Other speakers included Lv Zho, executive director of the Non-Profit Incubator in Beijing; Guo Chang Jiang, vice president and secretary general of the Red Cross Society of China; Helen Lee, vice president of Ipsos China; and Christina Lau, director of external affairs for Coca-Cola (China).
On the final day of the conference, Levinson also moderated a panel made up of Sydney Lai, CSR manager from GE; Oliver Yang, CSR and government relations manager from the American Chamber of Commerce, Shanghai; and Rosemary Bissett, group manager for CSR at National Australia Bank.
