At the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai we've just renamed the InfoComm Committee into the more aptly named I.T. Commitee. Rao Talasila and I are both handling the roles this year for chairing the committee.
Rao also has organized a great event for the committee in a few weeks called "Role of Partnerships in China's Telecom Industry" and Zhang Wei Hua, chairman, general manager and party secretary of China Telecom Shanghai, will be speaking along with Jim Sherriff, chairman of Cisco China. It's rare to get such a high-level couple of speakers together — especially from the Chinese side — so this is a good opportunity to listen to updates on the evolving role of telecommunications, wireless, Internet, and mobile services in China.
More information is at the Chamber's website here where you can also register to attend.
