Dow Jones Deal Signed To Help Expand Our Marketing Brand

We announced the signing of a deal today with Dow Jones (English here). We have been preparing for it for a few months, and thanks to both Peter in our Beijing office and Amanda, who runs the editors in Beijing, for their help. While for Dow Jones this deal provides information they have difficultly gaining elsewhere, for us it primarily is a way to provide more exposure for our Chinese-language publications — also some English-language publications are included in the agreement.

We currently have syndication deals with dozens of providers around the world for our different vertical Internet media. For example, off the top of my head our ChinaTechNews.com has signed deals with Focus Media's iResearch.com.cn; the Internet Society of China's website; China Chain Store & Franchise Association; and China.com to provide those respective platforms news and information. Not only do these deals have immediate monetary value for our company, more importantly over the longterm they help build our database of users and expand our brands within these business sectors.
