Want to meet Chinese action movie star Jet Li? Come to the 3rd Annual Corporate Social Responsibility Conference and Awards by the American Chamber of Commerce on October 30, 2007 at the Portman Ritz-Carlton Hotel and you can hear him give the keynote speech.
Jet Li is also the founder of The One Foundation, and he'll be talking about his work and collaboration with the organization in Greater China.
This year I was honored to be the chairman of the jury that chose the award winners and we did that all last week (sorry, my lips are now sealed until the event). We had a great group of judges–executives and leaders from both the private and public sector in China–and all the award applications were stellar, making our job quite difficult. I'll talk more about the process on October 30 when we announce the winners at the event.
This event aims to address major issues in initiating, implementing and communicating corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in China. Corporations, NGOs and academics will gain insights into how leading companies have achieved success in their CSR programs.
Other Confirmed Speakers:
–Richard Brubaker, Founder, Hands-On Shanghai
–Nancy Barry, Former President, Women's World Banking
–Ronald Berenbeim, Principal Researcher on Corporate Ethics, The Conference Board
–Simon MacKinnon, President Greater China, Corning China
–Yin Yin Nwe, Chief Representative, UNICEF China
–Carine Seror, Marketing Manager, WWF–World Wide Fund for Nature
–C.Y. Yeung, China CSR and Community Relations Director, Intel China
